ALPHA GMM August 2025: Updates, Clarifications, and Digital HR Innovations

The Association of Laguna Technopark Professionals in Human Administration (ALPHA) held its General Membership Meeting (GMM) at the LTAI Multi-Purpose Pavilion in Laguna Technopark from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This month’s session was packed with critical updates and forward-thinking strategies for HR professionals.
The event began with DOLE’s Updates on the Alien Employment Permit (AEP) presented by Ms. Norh-Ill L. Calumba, Labor & Employment Officer from the DOLE Laguna Provincial Office. This was followed by PEZA Updates from Mr. Jose Ma. Geremi “Lucky” T. Manas, Zone Manager III of Laguna Technopark. Their discussion included an insightful exchange of clarifications between DOLE and PEZA regarding AEP processes, giving members a clearer understanding of compliance requirements.
Continuing the knowledge-sharing tradition, Ms. Rhea Labro, Philippines Leader Support Lead of Western Digital Storage Technologies Philippines, delivered “Reimagining HR: The Digital Employee Journey.” She shared how Western Digital leverages technology to transform HR processes and enhance employee experience through digital innovation.
The session concluded with an important update from Atty. Delia T. Uy, Employers’ Representative to the RTWPB IV-A (Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board), who discussed the Minimum Wage Increase Update, explaining the current status of deliberations and the process behind setting new wage rates.
